A uon is a unique <a href="https://support.earthtoday.com/en/articles/5141860-what-is-a-digital-proof-of-a-unit-of-nature">digital proof</a> of a <a href="https://support.earthtoday.com/en/articles/5141864-what-does-sustainably-protected-mean">sustainably protected</a> unit of nature.

Uon are issued by the <a href="https://uon.org" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Union of Nature Foundation (UON)</a> and are distributed to individuals by <a href="https://support.earthtoday.com/en/articles/5103066-what-is-earthtoday">EarthToday</a> and <a href="https://support.earthtoday.com/en/articles/5141252-as-a-brand-how-can-we-participate-in-join-earthtoday">participating brands</a>. UON is a collaboration of <a href="https://support.earthtoday.com/en/articles/5141865-how-is-the-m-protected">Nature Protection Organizations (NPOs)</a> worldwide that have joined forces. Each of them protects the m² of nature that underpin a uon.
